Most of us could benefit from therapy at some point in our lives. Whether you are going through a life transition or challenge, want to gain a deeper understanding of your personal and relationship patterns, or are coping with the impact of a traumatic incident, therapy is a useful way to develop the insight and tools needed to live your a more empowered, happy life.

Trauma is a very common part of the human experience. Many people do not label their experiences as trauma due to misconceptions about what trauma is. From our persepctive, traumatic memories can be big events, like a sexual assault or car accident, or several smaller events, like a childhood where you were not listened to or a series of painful relationships. These painful memories shape our future coping patterns, and often when they are not properly processed they create symptoms like anxiety, depression, and substance use.

At the Utah Center for Post Traumatic Growth we strongly believe that all people are doing the best they can with the tools they have. Our therapists focus on helping our clients strengthen existing positive coping strategies, while developing new tools and deepening their insight into old patterns that may no longer be serving them. Our team has extensive training in evidence-based therapeutic interventions that help reduce and, eventually, eliminate symptoms related to stress and trauma. We will work together to move beyond simply talking about these painful memories, using a skillful approach to create sustainable healing.

If you believe you could benefit from our therapy services, reach out to schedule an appointment by calling or texting (435)287-4197 or emailing info@ucptg.com.
