    Isaiah Cardoso, ACMHC – Therapist

I am a clinical mental health counselor. I recently obtained my master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Denver in June 2023. Before completing my graduate education, I received an undergraduate degree in psychology with a minor in philosophy from Utah State University in 2021.

I specialize in working with all adults dealing with a variety of mental health concerns, such as depression, anxiety, grief and loss, relationship and communication difficulties, PTSD, and trauma. As a BIPOC individual, I have experience working with clients from diverse backgrounds and identities, and I encourage them to bring their visible and less visible identities into the therapy space.

My therapeutic approach reflects a humanistic, person-centered, trauma-informed, and collaborative method to understand and meet clients where they are.

In some cultures and upbringings, discussing mental health can be seen as taboo. However, in this space, we view mental health as an integral part of overall well-being. Sometimes, it can be challenging to recognize when it’s time to check in with ourselves. Through therapy, I aim to help clients tap into their inner wisdom and strength, using these as tools for personal growth and resilience.
