    Ellie Goldberg, LCSW – Therapist

    Goldberg Ellie_30per

My name is Ellie Goldberg (she, her, hers) and I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). I was born, raised, and educated in Utah and earned my Master’s of Social Work in 2012 from the University of Utah.

I have a decade of experience utilizing client centered, trauma informed, healing centered, strengths based and culturally allied services. I have worked in higher education, community and non-profit agencies with individuals, couples and families. My work has been focused with survivors of sexual, domestic and family violence; youth and families in crisis; older adults with dementia and their caregivers; college students; people experiencing food and financial insecurity and people with refugee and immigrant backgrounds. I am currently a Clinical Assistant Professor in the College of Social Work at the University of Utah.

Throughout my career, I have gained a deep understanding of trauma and the impact it has on our well-being – mental, physical, social, emotional, and spiritual. Although I have extensive training and experience in trauma-informed care and healing-centered engagement, I firmly believe that each and every individual is the expert in their own experience and own definitions of healing and growth.  I am here to collaborate, guide, and support my clients on their own journeys. I accept, affirm and celebrate every client’s unique identities, strengths and values.

I understand how challenging it can be to seek support and the bravery it takes to show up and do the work of healing and growing. If you’re here, looking for support, you’ve already taken a huge step. I offer a safe, warm, collaborative space for you to continue your journey – exploring how trauma has impacted you and implementing strategies for healing and growth.

In my free time, I love skiing, gardening, traveling, astrology (I’m a Leo in case you were wondering), watching garbage television and spending time with my family and friends.
